Job Title: Basketball – Gameday Table Official
Positions Available: 4 – Scorer, Assistant Scorer, Timer, Shot Clock Operator
Reports to: Club Committee & Basketball England
Area of work: London
Contract: Part Time
Salary: Dependent – Expense Forms will be provided

Overview

With the exceedingly growing popularity of our Club, London Sharks is expanding. Flourishing into an Academy, and taking part in both Junior and Senior leagues, the Sharks are recruiting Gameday Table Officials to assist us with our NBL Division 3 games. Currently playing in the National Basketball League, London Sharks is looking for table officials to add to our team of dedicated volunteers who participate equally to ensure the accurate record of games.

Role & Responsibilities

As a Gameday Table Official, you will be responsible for:

  • Record keeping of game clock
  • Record keeping of shot clock
  • Record keeping of points scored
  • Record keeping of fouls committed
  • Working together with referees and statisticians to ensure fairness and accuracy of the game

Requirements

  • Upto L3 Table Official Certificate dependent on role
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience of participating in official games
  • Reliable, committed, neutral, accurate
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Full Enhanced DBS Certificate
  • Previous Table Official Experience
  • In-Depth knowledge of basketball, Basketball England, and FIBA regulations
  • Regular availability on weekends and weekday evenings
  • Willingness to travel to sports venues (driver’s license or travel card is an advantage)
  • Eagerness to learn, develop and grow
  • An aptitude for a career in Sports
